Visitors were welcomed into an immersive space featuring lush tropical foliage, ambient rainforest soundscapes, and complimentary Costa Rican hot chocolate infused with warm spices, creating a cozy and transportive escape.
At the core of the activation was an augmented reality portal built in collaboration with HiroXR, allowing guests to digitally “step into” Costa Rica through a mobile-friendly, web-based AR experience that blended physical presence with immersive storytelling.
The campaign drove strong foot traffic and extended dwell time, especially with steady visitor flow from Harbourfront’s popular skating rink, offering families a free, multi-sensory experience that became a standout within the centre’s winter programming.
